Background

The Institute for Innovation in Business and Social Research (IIBSoR) was created in 2009 as a Research Strength of the University of Wollongong. The Institute recognises and brings together the important work done in this field by three outstanding University of Wollongong Centres:

 

Purpose

The key objective of IIBSoR is to develop and validate innovative and reliable qualitative and quantitative measures for business and the social sciences.

Research

Current research projects include:

  • the development of new ways to measure brand image;
  • determining marketing methods to identify and recruit successful foster parents;
  • evaluating strategies for identifying tourism target markets;
  • designing models for managers to visualise how resource decisions will affect each step of a complex manufacturing process; and
  • the development of new methods for understanding passenger experiences of public transport systems
